Point 2 Spectator Route 2025
Bike loading
Cheer on the cyclists! This is the perfect place to watch them enter and exit the transition zone, where it all comes down to it!
The bike course
The route starts on Avenue George VI, and takes in the upper part of Côte Gilmour and part of Avenue De Laune. Cyclists will then have the pleasure of riding up côte Gilmour, to get the cardio pumping and guarantee some heat! The number of kilometers and laps will be adjusted to suit this new loop, which will include more elevation changes, and will be sure to provide plenty of effort.
Active station
Watch the bike and stay warm by doing 10 jumping jacks!
Did you know that?
One of the first horse races on record in Quebec City took place in 1767 on the “Heights of Abraham.” It was considered to be the first sporting horserace advertised in Canada. Later, in the 19th century, races were organized on a regular basis on the Plains. At that time the race track was situated on the western edge of the Plains, in front of what is now the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. This field was one of Canada’s premier race tracks, attracting the best horses from the United States and across Canada. Years later, the look of the races has changed, giving way to the Sun Life Snow Pentathlon!
Go to Point 3, near the Grey Terrace, to watch the athletes parade by on snowshoes.
Don’t forget to take a photo before you leave for Point 3!
