Despite the pandemic still raging in Québec City, the Pentathlon des neiges presented by Langlois Lawyers will indeed take place in 2021, in virtual mode, of course! For this special edition, Canada’s largest outdoor winter event will be supporting a social cause, the À L’ÉCOLE, MOI J’BOUGE program.

Under the theme All Together Against COVID, each participant will contribute to the À L’ÉCOLE, MOI J’BOUGE program, which provides extracurricular activities to schools in disadvantaged areas. Under the aegis of the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec – Québec City-Chaudière-Appalaches (RSEQ-QCA), elementary and high school students will participate in the event free of charge, with adapted activities inspired by the Pentathlon des neiges. This initiative is supported by Quebec philanthropic actors – the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, the Montreal Alouettes Foundation, the Montreal Football Club, the LDT Foundation, RDS, Motivaction Jeunesse, the Rouge et Or of Laval University and of course, the Pentathlon des neiges – who will offer a surprise activity and/or give away prizes and sports equipment among the participating schools.

To participate in the virtual Pentathlon des neiges

From February 13 to 28, people are invited to participate in the event – solo, duo or team – by doing at least one, if not two, maybe all the five pentathlon sports: cycling, running, cross-country skiing, skating or snowshoeing. Participants can choose the level of challenge and the distances to be covered from the various Pentathlon des neiges challenges. Each participant can do his or her own pentathlon at his or her own pace, at the location that suits him or her best, while respecting the health standards in effect, and by posting on the event’s Facebook group.

Many prizes to be won!!!
